We only provide treatment for individuals whose primary concern is addiction, but we are able to care for those who are experiencing co-occurring mental health concerns as well. Your team will work closely with you to determine what level of services might benefit you most.
A residential program is one of the most intensive levels of treatment and typically involves round-the-clock care and various therapeutic interventions. Because residential programs give individuals space to focus solely on their recovery, these programs can be excellent ways for individuals to heal from addiction and gain the tools they need to stay in recovery for longer periods of time. At Bradford, we understand that each individual who comes to us to heal from addiction and a coexisting mental health condition has different strengths, challenges, and goals for their recovery. That is why our residential program offers multiple treatment modalities and therapeutic interventions to ensure that you or your loved one receive care that is best suited to your specific needs. Some of the services you or your loved one may receive while at our facility in northern Pennsylvania include:
Round-the-clock medical care is provided on an as-needed basis by registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), physician assistants, and an on-call physician.
Medication management services are available as needed if your care team determines that you or your loved one might benefit from medication as a part of your treatment plan.
Detoxification services are available for individuals who need to rid their bodies of the substances they have been using so that they can fully engage in treatment services. Detox typically takes about three to five days and is administered under the supervision of trained medical staff. Most individuals are able to take part in therapy while undergoing detox.
Individual therapy is scheduled once a week and is an excellent opportunity for you or your loved one to talk one-on-one with a counselor about any questions or fears you might not feel comfortable bringing up during group therapy sessions. Individual therapy sessions are also a great time to work on developing your personal goals for recovery. Additional individual therapy sessions can be scheduled as needed.
Group therapy provides a truly personalized treatment experience. With seven groups a day and potentially three groups running at the same time, you or your loved one won’t be in the same group with the same people all day every day. Group therapy is led by specially trained staff and includes a wide range of treatment modalities, including didactic therapy, psychoeducation, relapse prevention, motivational interviewing, and the Seeking Safety model.
Family programming helps individuals keep their families involved in their recovery process every step of the way if this is a part of their treatment plan. Families can visit their loved ones weekly throughout the duration of their stay. We also offer family education sessions for children age 15 and older to help families better understand the substance use disorder and mental health challenge their loved one is experiencing and learn how they can support their loved one’s recovery. Weekly private visits are available for children age 14 and younger.
Experiential therapy allows individuals to heal through movement and physical activity. We provide a variety of experiential therapy opportunities that you or your loved one may choose to participate in, including a Fun in Recovery group, a laughter group, team-building activities, volleyball, and kickball.
